Whilst most Horseboxpre purchase inspections are confined to looking at the lorry as a vehicle, Round Oak Commercials have had extensive experience in working on a variety of horseboxes and checking they are both safe and comfortable for the horses as well as being a pleasure to use and be seen in.

Living area inspection
Annual Horsebox Inspections, Road testing and MOTs.
We offer both a standard horsebox yearly inspection covering the vehicle itself and the safety of the body or our All-inclusive inspection which covers the whole vehicle, living and horse bays. Both of these can be offered at our premises in Isle Brewers, Somerset or at your own yard.
We also take all sizes of horsebox in for a pre MOT and take them through the test.
All-inclusive inspection
Full vehicle roadworthy inspection as per DVSA regulations
Body inspection for damage, loose panels, the safety of doors and access points.
Full Ramp test and inspection.
Full Interior floor and walls check to look for damage or any loose sections
Partitions tested, oiled and checked for loose covers/metalwork
Windows and window guards inspected
Horse and hay net tie-up points checked for safety and wear
All horse area access points checked for safety and ease of use
Steps and access handles inspected for safety
Interior/exterior lighting tests
Onboard/exterior lockers checked for leaks, sealing and security
Onboard water tank inspection
Living/Tack rooms checked for leaks, dampness, safety and testing of all onboard appliances.
Exterior and underbody pressure wash and clean.
